Many employees in Germany work entirely or partially from home or while on the move, and need secure and simple external access to the corporate network. sayTRUST Access is a simple, secure and cost-effective solution for the integration of mobile and home-office employees. sayTRUST Access consists of a server and a client component in the form of a USB stick. The system provides its users with a secure biometric, pin and 2048 Bit certificate-controlled connection to a corporate network, part of a corporate network or even just to one individual PC within a corporate network.
More security
In contrast to VPN technology, the connection between the server and client is at application level, so that there is no direct network coupling. The sayTRUST Access Server uses white and black lists to determine which programmes a user or a group of users may use via the sayTRUST Access Tunnel. All unauthorised applications are excluded by the Tunnel. Targeted barring of client applications is also possible so that, for example, the client’s local Internet Explorer can be deactivated for the duration of the sayTRUST Access Tunnel connection.
The multi-level authentication and functions – such as network resources veiled for the client – make sayTRUST Access a particularly secure and flexible system. The sayTRUST Access Server accepts the client connection, administers the certificates, controls access and connections and checks the user authorisations on three levels. After completion of the encrypted connection via the sayTRUST Access Tunnel, no data remains on the client.
More convenience
The technological advantages of sayTRUST Access lie in the simple and secure configuration of the servers via WEB GUI and in the uncomplicated and secure handling for the user. It is not necessary to install any software on the employee’s computer in order to establish the connection between the client and the server. The handy sayTRUST Access Client stick can be used on any PC or laptop with Internet access – and is so uncomplicated that users do not need any training or lengthy instruction. They simply connect the sayTRUST Access Client to the USB port of any PC, identify themselves with a fingerprint and PIN, and can then use all the company programmes assigned to them for remote access via the user-friendly user menu. The user not only has absolutely uncomplicated handling, but also a high degree of flexibility and mobility. In contrast to classic systems, he is also completely independent of a client PC. So, for example, he can even establish a secure connection to his company intranet from an Internet café without risking allowing viruses, Trojans, etc. into the Intranet.
Cost reduction
With sayTRUST Access, there is no need for time-consuming and expensive server and client configurations, which saves costs from the outset. The easy installation and handling also means fewer IT personnel are required: With the classic VPN solution, a technician may have to travel to the mobile user at his home workstation in order to install the VPN client software there on the PC in question, configure the VPN network settings and import the corresponding certificates generated on the server. This results in cost-intensive configuration times plus any travel costs incurred. For sayFUSE clients this expense is completely bypassed. sayTRUST Access USB clients can be sent by post with the assigned user certificates, and PINs for initial login are sent in a separate letter (as with bank cards). The first time the user logs in, his biometric data is saved on the client by a menu-driven process.
sayTRUST Access Servers are available in various service levels, which enables better coordination with the user’s requirements. The “Unlimited Version” is available without restriction in terms of the maximum number of simultaneously active clients. Clients can also be purchased in cost-effective bundles.
